A week or two ago we received from Inno3D their iChill GeForce 7900 GS, which is a bloody fantastic product to be honest. Great package, bundle, cooling, overclock and a nice price. A winner in all ways. In the Inno3D "iChill" range of products however there are several product lines with different cooling options.

See the iChill series of products is a two-fold cooled series. One has Zalman cooling, the other has Arctic Cooling products cooling the cards. We'll be focusing on the Arctic Cooling products today, yet from that Arctic cooling range there are two choices - active and passive cooling. Last time we reviewed their actively cooled product. Today we'll see if passive cooling (no fans thus 100% silent) can keep a GeForce 7950 GT cool enough. Quite frankly speaking: it's not "just" about that cooler though, there will be plenty of other stuff to look at when we review this card, although passively cooled we'll see higher clock frequencies, gold plated connectors, overclockability to a reasonable degree, and that silent cooling. It's really without a doubt impressive.

You can imaging that the product range is very diverse. Did you know that Inno3D or Innovision I should say has products ranging from VGA cards (obviously) to audio cards to digital video products ? In today's review we'll be testing a high to mid-range product, their GeForce 7950 GT (PCI-Express). Equipped with a remarkably playable graphics core and equipped with 256 Megabyte of GDDR3 memory, this product is ready to bark loudly in your PC.

With that being said, let's startup this review where we explain the technical details and test the cards with a game or twelve. Those games include S.t.a.l.k.e.r, GRAW, War Front, X3, HL2: Episode One, F.e.a.r. and many more.

Yes you better prepare yourself for a typical extensive Guru3D review.
